About Fresh as a “Daisy”. Melbourne
Darling Daisy is still a young pup, with all the curiosity and hilarity that goes with it. She still does puppyish things like chewing on things that she shouldn’t, digging the occasional hole, and stealing random objects, but it’s no big deal – if anything goes missing, just check in her bed! Daisy’s a good dog at heart, she just needs some time and patient humans to teach her right from wrong.
Being a youngster, Daisy likes to go a little crazy, so needs plenty of space to burn off energy and a good daily walk (or two). She likes hanging out with her two whippet foster siblings, and would like a canine companion to keep her company and help her learn (no cats). She’s adjusting well to pet life so far, coping well with traffic and noises, and learning where she is and isn’t allowed. She just needs reminding that not all food is for her, and to keep her inquisitive nose out of the bin! Daisy may live well with a family, although not with very young children (under seven), as she can get excited by sudden movements, and doesn’t like people touching her ears.
The best thing about Daisy is right at the end – her unbelievably waggly tail! Her tail doesn’t just wag, it spins around full-circle when she’s happy or excited. Daisy will soon grow from a crazy puppy into a graceful adult dog, but we’re certain that tail will keep spinning for a lifetime!

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
