About Bentley ~ Shih Tzu x Maltese (On trial 23/7/17)
Introducing Bentley a handsome Shih Tzu x Maltese loveable little bundle. He is 4½ years old and weighs approximately 4.7kg. Bentley is learning how to be an indoor dog and is going well with his toilet training but does still have the occasional accident. He is happy to be outside during the day enjoying any sunshine but his happy place is inside on the lounge. He sleeps in the laundry at night with his older sister (Lulu) without having any accidents.
Previously Bentley didn’t have a lot of socialisation or training and it enjoying going for walks wearing a harness as he gets very excited and anxious when he sees another dog. Bentley will need a secure yard due to his size and his carer’s cat is seen as something very exciting to bark at and chase so a cat free home would be best. Everything is new to him and he is enjoying all the new experiences and treats that are coming his way.
Bentley will require clipping every 6-8 weeks and although he has been raised with another dog he will need a controlled introduction to another dog. He is great with children from 18 months upwards and is a very loveable and affectionate little man. Bentley is quite happy to be outside during the day as long as he has shelter and a warm spot to laze in the sun.
For more information or to meet Bentley, please contact his foster carer Chris via email gypsyg55@hotmail.com with a completed adoption questionnaire from this link (http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf). Bentley is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (Maitland area) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bentley's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
