About Misty
Misty is a gorgeous Dalmatian with special needs. Her problem is that she has the occasional seizure. She has had two that we know of since she came to Happy Paws Haven and her old owner said that she had had one or two a year. Our observation is that she gets wobbly on her feet, stubbles, saliva at the mouth, rests for less than about 10 minutes or so then returns to normal playing with the other dogs. We have started her on a drug prescribed by our vet and she has not had a sign of one since. She has a lovely quiet gentle nature, affectionate, a little food possessive with other dogs but not humans, and would make a great companion for an older or retired person. She has just been desexed and is now ready to go to a new home.

Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
