Grandy

Grandy is a gorgeous, affectionate, active girl who, like most dogs with some staffy in them, is a real "people person" and loves nothing better than being with her human(s). She is eager to please and will make you feel very loved.

She likes lots of attention and cuddles, and will yodel "hurry up" if a requested pat is not delivered quickly enough, or if dinner is not provided in time. She needs a home where there is human presence for at least part of the day, and she is good with older children, with whom she loves to play. Grandy would prefer to be a mostly indoor dog if possible.

Grandy will need a quiet home with secure fencing as she can be nervy and afraid of loud noises, and may try to escape if left alone outside during a storm. She will also enjoy the company of another dog with a placid temperament if you are not going to be around most of the time. Grandy can be wary of big and excitable dogs she doesn't know but is quite good with other calm small dogs. She is currently living with a dog and has lived with a papillon before.

She walks happily on the lead, though she pulls a little, but not strongly, and sometimes jumps up to touch her humans when excited. Grandy enjoys play time and adores tennis balls and playing chasey. She is learning quickly about doggy manners. Grandy responds and comes to her name and sits/stays on command. She is very intelligent and will learn not to pull and jump with some consistent training.

Grandy will need some additional training as she can become quite focused on dogs walking past but not in an aggressive way. Perhaps more concerned.

Of course, she loves going for walks and will take all the exercise you can give her, but she is most happy with cuddles and home comforts shared with a human. Grandy is house-trained and uses a doggy door as needed.
