About Mingga
Well it’s a new year - so time for a new profile, because for some reason I am still in care.
Let me introduce myself, I’m Mingga. My name means ‘dog’ in the traditional language of the Dhudhuroa people. I’m in foster care with others dogs and have loved my times at doggy daycare. So I would like a home with another dog preferably. I like to round them up a bit, so even though I don’t look like a kelpie, some of my behaviours are like them. Including how smart I am. No one actually knows what breed I am - and it’s all a bit of guess work. So I sell myself on my personality.
I’m an energetic girl. But I love my humans- so my favourite past time is sleeping at their feet, or on the couch getting cuddles when I’m allowed! I’m never far from my foster Mum. I like to help her garden, keep her company, and let her know when somebody or something is near by the house. Don’t tell the intruders, I would honestly love them. I just like people. Even kids! I’ve met kids of all ages, even a few weeks old. And my foster Mum is very impressed with my behaviour with all of them.
I’m house trained and have never had an accident inside. I sleep inside, and am crate trained, although I prefer to sleep on the lounge, so I just get crated to eat now. And have learned my boundaries and won’t go in the bedroom - even when the door is open. In my previous foster home I also lived with a heap of cats, and I was good with them.
Seriously, I’m an easy going dog! I like a walk, an outing, I like to sleep, I mostly like to keep my human company. I also like I chew and rip things up- but not shoes and stuff, just dog toys! I know my manners. I can sit, wait, leave it and my recall is awesome. I can forget and jump when I’m excited - but I usually only do that when I was at daycare, that place was awesome!!!
Okay, so I have a downfall. Just one; I have been known to be an escape artist. I don’t leave where I am at anymore (I think this is home and love it but apparently I can’t stay as my foster Mum has too many dogs). So I would love a farm where I can run around and watch the world, if I can see what’s going on I don’t need to leave to investigate it. But I’m in town now - and town life also suits me, but I need 6 foot fencing (I can’t jump that) and something I can’t dig under. I’m a perfect dog for a lot of different homes and lifestyles, but I need a new home that will take into consideration my ability to leave and give me somewhere secure to be. Oh did I mention I don’t mind being left inside ;)
There is probably a heap of more good stuff I could say, I love car rides, the list goes on - but if you want to know more, get in touch!
