About Sprocket DB171
Sprocket is an energetic, inquisitive but very sweet natured boy. He loves tummy rubs and playing with toys, especially the treat balls! Sprocket is currently in foster care with another dog and they get along fine. He would love to go to a furever home where he has another female play mate with the same energy level to keep him company, but it's not essential, so long as you spend lots of time with him.
He would suit an adult household who also enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking for a dog who will keep up on long walks. He travels well in the car, sitting in the back seat looking out through the window. Sprocket is very active & always ready to get going! He loves exercise, so a big yard & a play mate would be a bonus. He is very clever and is eager to please.
He has loads of love to give and so devoted to the point of following you everywhere! Sprocket is especially keen to oversee anything happening in the kitchen! He’s not a fussy eater, takes treats gently and is quite happy to eat with other dogs nearby. Sprocket is also happy enjoying his down time, and loves to lounge around the house so does well in a calm & chilled out environment. He doesn’t expect to share your bed and is happy to stay in his own bed through the night, but he is always keen to be invited into the big bed for morning cuddles!
This gorgeous dog loves children, but due to his age & energy, a home with older teenaged children would be best. Sprocket previously lived with a cat but has not done so while in our care. Sprocket is well suited to a home where his new family are committed to meeting his physical and mental stimulation requirements through exercise and training.
Sprocket can get over stimulated when playing and wanting to meet other dogs. His new carers will need to follow our trainers advice when walking him to avoid him becoming over excited. Whilst he loves to play fetch and tug Sprocket needs controlled exercise such as obedience training.
