About Diesel ~ Labrador (on trial 14/07/17)
Diesel is a 7 year old Labrador Diesel is the sweetest, happiest, most loving and affectionate pure bred Labrador.
Despite being all grown up, he will follow you around absolutely everywhere like a puppy and just loves to be with his family whenever possible. This means he will be happiest in a home where he is fully included as part of the family, being able to come inside and preferably sleep inside.
Although he loves attention, he does not get separation anxiety and is fine at home when you are out and won't put up a fuss if he needs to be alone sometimes. He is perfect for someone who really sees their dog as their best friend.
He has a nice medium level of energy, is happy snoozing most of the day but absolutely loves to get out for a nice long run at least once a day to explore some nature and interact happily with people and dog friends. He loves to play fetch and to get pats from everyone he can.
Diesel is a wonderful, fairly easy dog but some of his minor issues are: greediness, occasional jumping up to say hello, being a little pushy to get inside, some pulling on leash (he will be too strong for children to walk at this stage but will improve with training).
For more information or to meet Diesel, please contact Sue on 0419 634 957 or email suemasens65@hotmail.com Diesel is in foster care in Belmont South, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Diesel's adoption fee is $300 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
