About Robbie - special needs bunny
Robbie is an extra special boy that is available to adoption to an extra special home.
Robbie unfortunately suffers from scoliosis which is a congenital spinal deformity. Sadly, there are no treatment options. However despite this, Robbie still lives a happy life.
Given the spinal deformity, Robbie is not too good at grooming himself as he can't reach his fur as easily as other bunnies can, so he would need extra grooming from his humans to remove excess fur and clean his bottom if he gets into a mess (although this isn't something that happens now, it is likely to happen more in the future).
Although we don't know his age, as Robbie gets older we expect that the condition is likely to cause him pain and so he would need pain relief medication to assist with this. It's important that any prospective adopter has an excellent rabbit savvy vet that can ensure Robbie maintains good quality of life.
His condition aside, Robbie is a lovely boy. He is friendly with humans and always looking for attention and cuddles. He is a plush lop (velvet like fur, although because his coat isn't in the best condition due to the lack of grooming) and is only a very little boy in size.
Robbie LOVES other bunnies, and we would love for him to have a bunny friend. He currently lives with another male bunny and they enjoy grooming each other (Robbie can groom other bunnies because he doesn't have to twist around like he would for himself). He has also lived with females in the past and was very happy with that! So we believe Robbie would really thrive with not only human love, but also bunny love.
We don't know how long Robbie might have left of a good quality life, but we would really love to see him adopted if there was a home out there suitable for him.
Please message us if you think you might be able to provide Robbie with his perfect home ❤️
