About Duke Adoption Pending
Young Duke is a gorgeous all-rounder with an awesome personality just bursting out of him, he will make a wonderful member of a very lucky family.
This gorgeous fella is a very affectionate human-oriented dog who yearns to be around people and is still convinced that he's the right size to be a lap dog (we haven't had the heart to tell him he's a bit big for that). Duke has had some training and knows basic manners and commands; he is toilet trained and travels beautifully in the car. He is not fussy with food and is gentle when taking it and knows how to sit and wait before eating. Basically, he's just about perfect and is at a great age - old enough to have all these skills but young enough to slot into a new home with ease.
Did we mention that Duke is great with other dogs? His foster carer notes that not only does he seem to be social with all and any breed of dog, he reads other dogs very well and knows when a canine friend is not all that friendly and will it some space. He has not been fully cat tested but we believe that with an appropriate and slow introduction he would be okay to live with a feline friend.
Now, Duke does have a LOT of energy. It's like he has been drinking lots of milo... he can just go and go and go! So he will be best suited to an active, outdoorsy family who will walk him twice a day and take him on regular adventures to fun places like the park and the beach.
So what are you waiting for? If Duke sounds like your dream dog, give us a call today. Oh and we forgot to mention... those ears!! :)c
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
