About Stella Kay
Stella Kay is a sprightly, active eleven year old, in excellent health with no medical conditions or concerns. She has been well loved and well looked after and loves to have the company of people or other dogs. Her favourite exercise is running off lead, but she walks happily on a lead, though she may need some reminding not to pull. She will walk and run for 45 mins without flagging.
Stella is very easy going and polite with her two doggy house-mates and enjoys playing with them and sharing a dog couch for a snooze. She is friendly and engaging when meeting new dogs in the park. She likes to be in the room with people, and will often come over to your chair just to say hello and ask for a pat, but takes herself off to bed at night when she has had enough company.
Stella is house trained and easily uses a dog door. She is very, very fond of food, but will leave food if told to and will always obey a command once she understands what you want. At dinnertime, she will sit and wait very patiently for permission to eat from her bowl, and will wait for permission to get into and out of a car.
We have not seen Stella around cats, but she is generally a well behaved lady. She would be best suited to a home where she has human or doggy company for at least part of the day, and a good walk most days.
If you are looking for a very good, kind and loving dog, who will shower you with affection and all the happy kisses you want, Stella may be the lady for you.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
