About Lizzie
Lizzie has followed strong traits from all three of her breeds. She has the small and petite stature from the English Staffy part of her; the beautiful colouring and dark ridge from the Rhodesian Ridgeback and the stubborn nature and wrinkled forehead from the Sharpei breed.
Being such a mix of breeds, Lizzie does need a confident owner who can keep her social with other animals and people and also in line with her continued training and behaviours.
Lizzie isn't a high energy girl, so a home that wants to run her isn't necessary. But a home that can expose her to the world would be essential and definitely ideal for her. She does love to play with other dogs, and is in foster care with a range of other dogs from small young puppies to large adults and seniors. She knows how to interact and play with them all, and does well with being corrected into line by other dogs. But in saying this, Lizzie wouldn't suit a household that wanted her to frequent local dog parks or off leash dog beaches.
Kids aren't a strong suit for this beautiful girl, with a past of abuse from young kids. These tend to care her, so a home with no kids or teenagers/ pre teens would suit her best. She has met cats whilst in foster care and could easily adjust to a home with one if the introductions were of course correctly done for all.
Lizzie would suit a home as a very much loved only dog, or with another older and stable minded dog to keep her on track. She would do best in a home that lets her indoors, she is well toilet trained and also perfectly crate trained. She is good on the leash and is working very hard on both her off leash and basic obedience skills.
Lizzie is ready to go to her new home now, and her adoption fee is $400. She is located in the Hunter Valley NSW.
