Arkose

What a friendly and happy little man!

Arkose is a lovely and lively pup who is ready to share his life with some special people. He is always happy to see you and there are lots of tail wags. Arkose likes to play and enjoys running around the house or chasing his ball and other toys. He is always up for a good time and sometimes doesn’t want to stop. But when it is time for a nap Arkose is more than happy to fall asleep in your arms or on your lap. He likes pats and cuddles, and they transform him into a very mellow boy.

During his time in care, Arkose has met doggies of all sizes. He is friends with every dog that he meets as long as they are not super rough. Arkose enjoys playing with the other dogs and gets right into it even with the bigger pups. He would benefit from a home where he has the opportunity to make friends and have some play mates to run around with. Despite his smaller size, Arkose should still be taken out and about for a daily walk so that he remains healthy and happy throughout his life.
Arkose has begun basic training while he has been in care. He responds well to consistent training and instruction. Arkose has learnt how to sit for a yummy treat and can walk nicely on a lead. He is also showing that he is good off lead and is learning to come when called. It is very important that his new family are committed to continuing his training as he is just a baby and has lots to learn.

Arkose should attend puppy preschool to continue his socialisation with his new owners and would benefit greatly from further training classes. He is progressing with his toilet training and learning to use a puppy pad in the house.

We are looking for a home where Arkose will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another friendly and playful dog and/or where someone is home most of the time. Arkose should be allowed inside to be with the family a lot of the time but he also enjoys exploring the yard. He must have a warm bed inside to sleep on at night and it is expected that he will be able to live harmoniously with other types of pets as well.
