About Abbey ~ Poodle X (on trial 16/7/17)
Abbey is an energetic poodle cross. She is a six month old puppy whose energy knows no limits! Abbey appears to be friendly towards most dogs and children. She has been to a few soccer games and gets very excited when she sees all the kids and balls flying everywhere. However you do need to beware of those sharp puppy teeth and claws.
As a puppy Abbey is still learning and would need to be watched around small children. She is still learning the finer points of toilet training and still needs encouragement and further training. She will sit and drop for a treat and loves to go for a walk and loves to play wrestle the teddy!
Abbey has a low maintenance poodle coat but please be mindful that she will need regular professional grooming to keep it in good condition. The dog groomer said that she was a pretty good customer on her first visit! As she is still a puppy, she would prefer a family that is home most of the time. Abbey sleeps inside in a crate that is cosy and covered up with a blanket. She sleeps right through the night without a peep.
For more information or to meet Abbey, please contact her foster carer Donna on email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Abbey is in foster care in Kotara, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Abbey's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
