On Hold
About Calvin - on hold - Meet and Greet organised
Meet Calvin a beautiful 10 month old German Shepherd that is now looking for a new home.
Calvin is a good natured and playful young shepherd who will need further lead and obedience training but he is just at the right age and receptive to being moulded into a well trained dog.
Being only a young boy he does become excited when seeing new people and will jump up so we would suggest a home with children over five years of age.
He has a gorgeous nature and loves humans however we recommend Calvin receive further socialisation and that he attend dog training so that he will develop into a well behaved and calm dog.
Calvin is crate trained and he will require inclusion in the home and will love hanging out on his doona bed near his humans. Calvin is currently in care at Windsor.
This beautiful young Shepherd has been diagnosed with immune mediated non-erosive polyarthritis, and has commenced treatment. More details can be given but it is an arthritic condition which will require pain management for Calvin from time to time throughout his life. We currently have Calvin on one tablet a week (Macrolon). We can see this medication will only be required if Calvin shows a weakness or lump if made to exercise too much. We can see his condition can be managed with proper nutrition and fish oil capsules.
If you are interested in giving this lovely boy a home please contact Linda on 0497 398 062.
