About Bonnie ~ terrier mix (on trial 25/7/2017)
Bonnie is a 3 yo, female, terrier mix, small to medium sized. She probably has some Silky and/or Foxy in her background along with others. She weighs around 11.5 kgs. She measures about 40 cms from floor to shoulders and 40 cms or so from chest to rump. Her coat is mostly silky white with a few black markings here and there.
Bonnie walks well on lead and takes an intelligent interest in her surroundings. She is friendly towards people and is presently living harmoniously with from 4 to 6 other smaller dogs.
Bonnie has been vet checked and enjoys boisterous good health. Her eyes are clear and she has good eye sight. Her teeth and mouth are in first class condition. Her hearing is acute. She has a good appetite.
This is a very active adolescent pup who is looking for a new home with a family who are willing to give care, attention and particularly affection. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Bonnie’s somewhat boisterous enthusiasm would not suit owners with young children but a family with teens would be fine. She would suit an active individual or couple or anyone looking for a friend for an existing dog of similar size and character.
Bonnie was surrendered into foster care from a formerly happy family environment comprising a parent, 2 growing children and another 6 year old companion dog. This other dog is also in foster care. Bonnie appears to have enjoyed the best of attention and there are genuine reasons for both dog’s surrender. Understandably, Bonnie is presently displaying a degree of separation anxiety. At the moment, she is a bit sad and wants to stay close to people, but we expect she will soon adopt and enjoy the rest of her life in a wonderful new home.
Bonnie is a perfectly lovely girl with few apparent faults. Do you have a place in your home (and your heart) for Bonnie?
For more information or to meet Bonnie, please contact her foster carer Anita on 0424 176 260 or email anita.waters@me.com. Bonnie is in foster care in Swansea, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bonnie's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
