About Winter ~ Kelpie x Husky (on trial 5/8/2017)
Meet Winter, a very happy 6 month Kelpie x Husky girl.
Winter is a beautiful and playful young dog who would love to be a part of your family. She loves her toys, especially her favourite tennis ball on the rope. Winter likes playing with other dogs, including her sister Shelby. She also loves playing with her human brother who is only 5. Winter is fine with cats as she used to live with them.
Winter has already learnt “sit”, “outside” and is learning “shake” and “fetch”. She will learn so much more with some ongoing training. Winter's foster parents are working on her toilet training but she is still young so it's all a matter of time.
Winter can dig if she is bored but her parents leave plenty of toys in the backyard and it keeps her occupied. Winter only barks when she is scared or hears a loud noise. She doesn't fret when left alone but her sister keeps her company. She loves running outside, rubbing against your leg for snuggles and playing with her toys.
Winter is always happy to see you come home, loves pats, is very obedient and a quick learner. She would love a nice sized back yard, someone to give her pats and cuddles, someone to take her on walks and give her love.
If you are looking for a companion to love and add an extra bit of fun and laughter to your life Winter is the girl for you.
For more information or to meet Winter, please contact her foster carer Kristi on 0403 081 260 or email belle_km@yahoo.com.au. Winter is located in Lemon Tree Passage and is available for adoption interstate.
Winter's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
