Acamar

He is cute and fluffy and ready for some fun!

Acamar is a gorgeous and loveable puppy. He has a thick fluffy coat and a bob tail (born with virtually no tail), which makes him very unique. Acamar is definitely a cuddler and will happily fall asleep curled up in your lap after a big day of adventures. He enjoys exploring the yard and interacting with his people friends. Acamar enjoys meeting people and is always up for some pats and attention. He also likes to play with his soft toys and give you kisses.

During his time in care, Acamar has met a range of other dogs. He has a more timid nature with other dogs until he gets to know them, then his more confident playful side comes out. Acamar enjoyed playing with his brother and now his new foster siblings. Like any puppy, he will benefit from further socialisation so that he can continue to build his confidence. He will be a moderately active pup as he grows up and therefore will need daily exercise and stimulation to keep him healthy and happy.

Acamar has begun basic training while in care. He knows how to sit on command and walk on a lead. He is food motivated and happy to learn. It is important that his new family are committed to continuing his training through puppy preschool and dog training classes. Acamar is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night without accidents. He doing well with his toilet training, though this needs to be continued in his new home.

We are looking for a home where Acamar will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another friendly dog and/or someone who is home most of the time. Acamar should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night out of the weather. He has lived with a couple of dog friendly cats while in care and was well mannered with them.
