About Octans
Are you ready for some puppy snuggles?! Meet Octans!
Octans is cuddly and squishy! He has a thick fluffy coat and a bob tail (born with virtually no tail), which makes him very unique. Octans absolutely loves to snuggle and is one of the most cuddly pups you will meet. He has a very sweet nature, and is generally calm and gentle. Octans still likes to play though. He likes his soft toys and playing tug of war, and is generally happy to be interacting with his people. Octans enjoys wandering around the yard and is happy to do his own thing when you pop out for a little while.
During his time in care, Octans has met a range of other dogs, big and small, and he is friendly with them all. He has a more timid nature with other dogs until he gets to know them, then it is all about the play. Octans enjoys playing with his brother and now his new foster siblings. Like any puppy, he will benefit from further socialisation. He will be a moderately active pup as he grows up and therefore will need daily exercise and stimulation to keep him healthy and happy.
Octans has begun basic training while in care. He knows how to sit on command and walk on a lead. He is food motivated and happy to learn. It is important that his new family are committed to continuing his training through puppy preschool and dog training classes. Octans is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night without accidents. He is also doing really well with his toilet training and will hold on until it’s time to go outside.
We are looking for a home where Octans will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another friendly dog and/or someone who is home most of the time. Octans should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night out of the weather. He has lived with a couple of dog friendly cats while in care and was well mannered with them.
If you would like to make this gorgeous boy a part of your family then let us know by filling in an application on our website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
