MATILDA'S STORY
Poor Matilda! She was found on the Central Coast's M1 freeway and had been hit by a car at speeds close to 110Km/hr and was rushed into ARH Gosford's emergency department.
Then she had a successful jaw surgery thanks to Dr. Larry Van Niekirk.
Matilda has since recovered very quickly but still needs to be kept quiet for the next few weeks until her jaw has fully healed.
When Matilda first came to ARH Gosford she was very quiet and shy, over the past week she has come out of her shell and is a lot more active.
As you might imagine being kept in a hospital is no fun for a young energetic dog so the vet nurses try to get her out and about to keep her entertained as much as possible (usually to get coffee... for the nurses, not Matilda!) :-)
Matilda loves to play and always carries her lead around when she’s ready to go for an adventure, she also loves cuddles and of course loves puppy play with her canine friend Ash.
All of the team at ARH Gosford have grown very fond of Matilda but now is the hard decision to find her the right home.
Being a cattle dog she is very energetic and she needs somewhere with a lot of space to run and play.
She will need to be with someone who is experienced in basic canine training and willing to put the time in to get the results.
She would also benefit to having another dog in the house to play with but also show her the ropes.
Matilda is a very fun dog with a big heart and is ready for her forever home.
