About Lovely little Luna
Luna is a delicate, darling girl – a tiny greyhound who never grew big enough to race. She is very playful & affectionate and would enjoy having a calm/older, suitably-sized canine friend – remembering she is closer to whippet-size. She currently loves living with another greyhound and appreciates having a small grassy yard where she can do her 1-minute 'zoomies'. She does not need a large yard to run riot in – she should be getting most of her exercise from walking and being out and about with her family. Luna is not tested with cats, but seems interested in chasing them!
Luna walks well in a harness and has excellent house manners. Whilst she loves sitting outside in the sunshine and enjoying the view, please understand that Luna is essentially an indoor dog and that is where she will spend most of her time. She needs suitable warm clothing in winter and soft bedding.
Luna is still very young and adores having her family around. She is quite active, needs exercise/playtime and is looking for regular engagement from her 'hooman/s'. She would benefit from going to group dog classes. Its important that you are prepared to provide supportive learning for her.
Luna is still too immature to be left alone for long periods. She is, however, at the very fortunate age where gentle, consistent guidance will allow her to blossom into a truly adorable pet. This little girl has a darling nature, is sensitive, engaging and has amazing potential.
Adoption details
Greyhounds are gentle, highly sensitive dogs that will surprise you with their ability to love and engage. It is expected that you will provide patience, love and encouragement to assist with the transition from life in a race kennel to becoming a pet and cherished part of the family unit.
They are mainly indoor dogs that need comfortable, safe places to sit and sleep so you must be prepared to accommodate this via suitable bedding and warm clothes in cooler months. They are low-shedding, and good for people with allergies. A safe, secure yard is required and they need a walk or two everyday and/or playtime in the backyard. Most greyhounds appreciate a clean, uncluttered grassy area where they can do their 1-minute 'zoomies' a couple of times a day.
Prospective owners contact carers via email or phone, they can come and meet the animal and make an application if they are suitable.
