About Laurie-Lorenzo
With his suave good looks wearing his Italian silk designer suit with white cravat, Laurie-Lorenzo is sure to impress & melt your heart. This stunning big 'blue' ex-racing greyhound, is really just a teddy bear in disguise, who desires cuddles and having his tummy rubbed. Whilst he is a big boy with a personality to match, he is also gentle and affectionate, with impeccable indoor manners. He loves being inside relaxing on warm, soft, cushiony bedding, where you will often find him 'roaching' upside down on his back with his legs spread-eagled in the air (when all suave-ness goes out the window!).
Laurie prefers to be inside and is not suited to being alone all day. He is smart, desires companionship and is open to having another (size-compatible) doggie-pal – a female greyhound would be perfect. Would prefer to not have stress of dealing with cat. He is very quiet – not a barker – and enjoys his toys and friends. He delights in having his once or twice-daily walks and walks very well on the lead.
But beware... just one look into his mesmerising liquid pool eyes will have you weak at the knees and signing over your biggest lounge...
Adoption details
Greyhounds are gentle, highly sensitive dogs that will surprise you with their ability to love and engage. It is expected that you will provide patience, love and encouragement to assist with the transition from life in a race kennel to becoming a pet and cherished part of the family unit.
They are mainly indoor dogs that need comfortable, safe places to sit and sleep so you must be prepared to accommodate this via suitable bedding and warm clothes in cooler months. They are low-shedding, and good for people with allergies. A safe, secure yard is required (does not need to be large) and they need a walk or two everyday and/or playtime in the backyard. Most greyhounds appreciate a clean, uncluttered grassy area where they safely can do their 1-minute 'zoomies' a couple of times a day.
Prospective owners contact carers via listing. After initial discussion, can come and meet the animal and make an application if they are suitable.
