About Gypsy
Gypsy came into care when her elderly owner had to go into a care facility. She is fretting a little and it has made her somewhat anxious. She is used to an indoor lifestyle and would suit an older owner or couple. She loves nothing better than to be where ever you are and she also loves to go for a walk. Gypsy is a little timid at first meeting but definitely warms up over time. It would be an advantage if potential new owner take the time to meet Gypsy so we can ease the transition to her new home. Being an older dog, she has had some training. She will sit on command and will make an effort to help you pick her up by giving a little jump into your arms. She is not a ravenous eater and prefers to browse all day. She is not food defensive and is fine with other dogs and children. She does not like cats and would likely chase them.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
