About Jax ~ Lab x Border Collie (on trial 13/07/17)
Imagine the body of a yellow Labrador Retriever with slightly funky ears and amber eyes, that's Jax.
Jax is a medium dog, with a soft thick coat and only weighing 17kg. It's hard to believe this boy is only 10 months old as he has the quiet demeanour of a much older dog. Jax is house trained, and needs to be part of a family, living and sleeping inside when his people are home.
Jax isn't into playing with toys or fetch with a ball, but loves snuggling next to you on the lounge, walks and playing with doggy friends. He still has some puppy tendencies and will occasionally chew things, like kids toys, corner of the dog bed but he prefers bones much more.
Jax would benefit from having a doggy friend to play with. He has not been tested with cats or pocket pets. Jax is not a digger or a jumper. He originally barked at our cows (such new creatures for him) but is not a nuisance barker.
Jax is house trained using a doggy door and is fast learning basic training, like sit and stay. He loves to be with his humans, following you throughout the day. Jax is great with kids and ideally suited to school age children. Jax is a lovable soul, looking to please. Is Jax someone you have been looking for?
For more information or to meet Jax, please contact his foster carer Anne on anne4drn@gmail.com. Jax is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. Jax's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
