About George
Hello! My name is George, or more specifically George-Frank and I’m the biggest goof you’ll ever meet. In July, I’ll be turning one! I’ve had a few homes in my short life and i don’t like moving, so I’m looking forward to finding my forever humans, that I can trust and love until the end of time.
I’m a large boy, and can often forget just how big or strong I am, my foster humans have to watch out when I’m excited as I can’t help but do a little dance, especially when I’m happy to see you. Tan in colour, with freckles and speckles all over my face & ears, enough to melt anyone’s heart when they see my big head. I have big beautiful brown eyes, and I do try to use them to my advantage, but don’t fall for it! I need a human with firm handling skills, and preferable experience with dogs of my size. I’m a big friendly giant, wanting to make friends with all doggos, so I most definitely need to have a bro or a sis! I have foster siblings all sizes, Whippet, Staffy and a Great Dane and I love playing with them! I am cat friendly too.
In my short time in care, I have improved in my ability to listen and do what my carers ask of me, although i like to push my boundaries and would need a human who can help me by setting clear boundaries as i get nervous when left to my own devices.
I know the commands ‘on your bed’, ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘paw/shake’, ‘drop’ and will toilet on command. I am a very quick and eager learner, especially with treats involved. I currently attend Jimmy’s Dog Training on a Wednesday night, and would love to continue doing so, as the improvements I have made from going are remarkable. (And Jimmy thinks I’m pretty cool).
My recall is great and I love playing off lead at the park and will stay close as i can get nervous when left on my own.
Medical notes
George is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date with flea and worm treatments.
