About Mahli D0783 adopted 18/11/18
Mahli is a placid, gentle kind of boy who is looking for just the right home. He walks beautifully on lead although he does like to say 'hi' to dogs when out walking so needs a gentle reminder that this is not always possible. Since his walks are the highlight of his day, he will definitely need a daily outing in his new home. Mahli is friendly and loves people. At home he is quite content to just be part of the household and hang out with you. Sits for food, house-trained, easy in the car, loves a cuddle, a good brush down and snoozing. He likes to play and can get quite bouncy when he's enjoying himself.
Mahli is a giant sook who likes being indoors with his family and suits a home where he is not left alone as he does get separation anxiety if he's without human company. This can result in attempts to escape (by digging) and also some destructive behaviours, so the ideal is that he has a home with lots of companionship, and where unavoidable that he be on his own, he can be safely contained, e.g. i an enclosure. Mahli would be a great addition to a home with people who work from home; stay at home parents; or active retirees.
Best suited for a home without small dogs, other small pets, birds etc.

Medical notes
Adoption fee includes vet check with flea and worm treatment, vaccination, microchip (including change of ownership) and sterilisation. We do not include heartworming of our pets.
Medication for Mahli's separation anxiety may be an option into the future but at this point his carers are working with providing him with a loving, safe foster home - this will be regularly assessed by our team/vet.
