About Misty DL1678
Misty is a genuinely sweet-natured girl – she’s loving, loyal, gentle and loves her cuddles and tummy rubs – she almost purrs!
Misty is so polite and eager to please. She may want to sneak into your bedroom at night, but will give you the funniest, most sheepish look if you catch her out; her big brown eyes will melt your heart and you may find yourself giving in..!
While Misty best suits being your only dog at home, socially she loves making friends. She’s fantastic off the lead (she also has great recall!) and has had excellent interactions with other dogs – she’s calm, curious and gentle and has made friends with Chihuahuas and Great Danes alike.
Misty is okay at home when you need to go out and doesn't tend to bark or cry. She loves company though and is always thrilled when you return. But she copes well and isn’t needy or destructive, she just curls up and sleeps until you get back. A 45 min to 1hr daily run in the afternoon/evening seems to suit her – she really comes alive in the arvo!
She’s great with children, very gentle. Misty has been living with 2 dog savvy kids aged 12 and 10 who just adore her. She would be ok with kids who were a little younger as long as they are also gentle with her. Misty hasn't been tested with cats.
Misty loves a little game of tug-of-war with her battered old stuffed animals – she’ll bring them to you if she wants a game, you grab one end, she grabs the other in her mouth... then game on! But she’s never touched the kids cuddle toys, she just sticks to her own.
A keen watchdog, Misty has a terrific bark, so you’ll feel very well protected at home, but most importantly this little softie is just brimming with love to give.

Medical notes
Misty suits a family who will be committed to providing a quality diet and daily exercise to maintain her health. When rescued, she was very overweight and now watches her waist!
