About Jessie - CD0232
Little Jess was surrendered due to her family moving towns for medical
reasons. This girl is a trooper and has taken the change in her stride. Jess
didn't get to be this weight due to being a retiring flowery type of girl
though. She is well able to stand up for herself with other dogs. Jessie is
definitely the Matriach of the doggy pack, especially where food is
involved. Below is what the foster carer has to say about this sweetheart.
Well-adjusted, fast learner, smart little survivor:
-Will probably suit any household: loves cuddles, loves to be brushed and
patted; Loves walks, runs and beach play. Will participate in any activity.
Does not like to be left alone. Will greet you cheerfully.
-Eats whatever is not nailed to the floor. If it is; she will still eat it.
Will expect a snack every time I go to the kitchen. Will look for a crumble
on a kitchen floor. Have to watch her getting fat! Can't chew a large bone.
-Made herself comfortable on the couch (both of them!). Once allocated a
spot (towel-covered), she has respected the rule.
- Walks well on a leash and off the leash, will not lose the site of you.
Was scared of the water initially, now gets in belly-high, will run, but
will not swim. Will not go on the jetty (I had to carry her!)
-Very aware of other dogs, I have not tried to introduce her to other dogs.
-Sneaked to a neighbor's backyard underneath the fence, returned immediately
once called, I have fixed the escape route.
Has me wrapped around her little finger, I have to say. My best wishes to
this brave girl.
