About Avalanche ~ Malamute x ~ On Trial 26/8/17
Introducing Avalanche - a 4 year old Alaskan Malamute x German Collie boy who is a delight to spend time with. Avalanche is an affectionate and smiley big boy who runs to you when called for a big hug. He will lean on your legs for pats and will give you kisses to show you his love.
This large, fluffy teddy bear is well-mannered and eager to please you. He sits and drops for treats and responds well to praise. He'd do well with advanced training as he is smart and attentive. He can zig zag on lead at the start of a walk but will walk nicely once his initial excitement over.
Avalanche is in foster care with many large dogs and gets along well with a lot of them . He'd do well in a single dog home , or with a friendly female canine companion who enjoys the company of other large, playful dogs.
Avalanche enjoys doing uncoordinated zoomies around the yard - he prances like a pony and can still bounce like a big puppy. He can jump up when playing but doesn't tend to jump on you. Due to his size he is best suited to kids older than 10 years or teenagers. He would also suit a single or couple who would love an adoring companion. Avalanche loves his humans and happily makes friends with any new people he meets.
Avalanche isn't overly energetic - he would love a daily walk and games in the yard however he doesn't need to be constantly entertained. Once he's had his walk and play he's happy to hang out with you in the yard or house. He's a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed and a pleasure to spend time with.
If you would like more information on Avalanche please contact Jo on email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com . Avalanche is located near Morisset on the NSW Central Coast.
Avalanche's adoption fee is $350 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worm treatment. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
