About Barclay
** We're currently reviewing applications to adopt Barclay and will be in touch with each applicant directly **
Barclay is an 11 month old British Bulldog in need of a new home. He has been very much loved and cared for, and it breaks his current family's heart to do this.
Barclay loves people and kids, and has been a much loved family pet. Barclay was desexed at 6 months of age, and since this time there has been a noticeable change in his behaviour. It started with Barclay being reactive to other dogs whilst out & about (he is now always kept on lead), and has recently has started displaying dominant behaviour towards the family's other dog (maltese shitzu).
We feel that Barclay will suit a new home where he is the only pet, with a family who have lots of time to bond with him, provide regular exercise and stimulation, and work with Barclay to reward positive behaviours. Experience with bulldogs or another large breed would be ideal.
MBRC will pair his new family up with a trainer experienced with the breed to ensure that they have the support needed to ensure Barclay settles in well and it is a successful adoption.
Barclay would love a family who have kids and to be included in all their everyday activities. Kids aged 5+ is is preferable as he doesn't always realise his size. Barclay is used to spending lots of time inside with the family, but would also like to have a decent sized secure yard.
Like a lot of bulldogs, Barclay needs a grain-free diet.
If you are located in Sydney (or within a couple of hours drive) and would like to adopt Barclay please send the #bullycrew at Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club a message and submit an application https://www.minisbulldogrescue.com/apply

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
