About Lolly ~ Labrador X (on trial 26/6/2017))
Meet Lolly a.k.a Lollipop.
Lolly is around 9 months old, so you can get all of that puppy exuberance and love, without any (or many) of the earlier model hassles.
Lolly loves to spin around in a circles when she is excited, such as when the lead comes out or when its dinner time. As Lolly has lots of energy and is as quick as a greyhound, she would love a walk each day. She would also greatly benefit from having a younger doggy friend to play with, or an older dog who is still young at heart and enjoys a spirited frolic at the park. Lolly has not been tested with cats or with pocket pets.
Lolly is not fussy with her food and will eat pretty much anything put in front of her. She has no food aggression, although being a lab, is highly food driven and thus will be easily trained. Lolly walks quite well on the lead and is house trained. Lolly is currently receiving training with her manners, although does not really have a lot of work to do.
Lolly is not a nuisance barker, nor is she a jumper of fences. Lolly currently has 5 ft fencing which she has shown no desire to try and jump. Lolly is happy to laze around, until it is either time for a walk or time for something to eat. She has not heard thunder yet, although was unphased by a recent storm she experienced. Lolly hasn't shown much interest in the the lawn mower and the leaf blower.
Lolly can be excitable due to her age and as a result would be better suited to children who are at least of a school age. She currently spends her days outside, then comes inside at night to spend time with her humans and to sleep. Lolly knows that inside time means settled time and is taking to this very well. When inside she find her bed and settle in for the evening.
Lolly is a lovely young dog who would suit a home where she will be part of the family willing to put the finishing touches on her training, and give her the exercise she loves. Lolly would benefit from at least one other doggy companion or a human who is home most of the time.
For more information or to meet Lolly, please contact her foster carer Ben on 0452 411 802 (text only). Lolly is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Newcastle area) and is available for adoption interstate. Lolly's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
