Stripe

Beautiful Stripe is a really lovely dog to be around. She is alert and intelligent, extremely dog friendly, and loves to meet and greet new humans, as well as relax with her special people. Stripe loves a walk and a run and is active and playful in the day, but in the evenings she is a really calm and comfortable presence in the home. She loves a cuddle on the couch, but also likes to share her dog bed with one of her doggy mates, or a couple of our rescue puppies.

Stripe came to us from the remote central Australian community of Ampilatwatdja. She had been a stray but was taken in by a local worker heavily pregnant. She came to us when her puppies were just one day old. She was a great mum to her lovely puppies who have all inherited her delightful calm nature and natural good manners. She is now being cared for in a home environment with a big group of other rescue dogs and puppies, and we find her so easy to care for in this environment, being both cooperative with humans and the dog family.

Now that her puppies have all been rehomed, its Stripe's turn to find her forever home. With her bomb proof nature we can see her doing well in a family environment or fitting into a home with another fun -loving friendly dog. She is a dog that could go out and about with you and be a great well behaved companion too.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Stripe's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. She is currently in foster care in Elliott community.
