About Rastas D0390 on trial 2/7/17
Rastas is a busy little boy and still very young in nature. He is friendly and loves other dogs of all sizes and both genders. He likes spending the majority of time indoors but does tend to mark (pee) in new places; hopefully now he is sterilised and with reminders from his new owner, this will decrease. He loves children and the attention given to him by them although we feel he may best suit children of ages 8 years and up as although he is happy to be picked up, very young children wanting constant cuddles might be a bit much for him. He settles well indoors once he has trotted around investigating everything. Although happy to be picked up for a sit on your lap he seems to prefer to lay on the couch next to you rather than on you for now. He is a very active dog and loves a daily outing; he does zig zag on lead but keeps pace fine, so is an easy dog to walk.
He has only met cats fleetingly and did seem interested but not aggressive.
Silky Terriers can often be a breed who like to get things their own way, and Rastas is no exception, so an owner who is kind and loving but also puts rules in place is ideal for this little fellow. This will ensure Rastas understands his place in the home. Rastas's gorgeous coat will need brushing/grooming regularly to keep it in tip top condition.
Rastas will be available to adopt as of 29 June but is ready to meet now. If you would like to enquire about this little fellow, please email us with the following info to see if you are a good match:
Who is in your household?
Do you have any pets/chooks etc?
Do you have a fully secure yard?
Where will your dog live, where will his bedding be located?
Do you have time/commitment to exercise a dog daily?
Do you work and if so how many hours per day would your dog be home without you/other people?
Are you available to adopt a dog now? (We cannot hold dogs).
