About Wilson ~ 7mo Wolfhound x Boxer (On Trial 14/8/17)
Introducing the adorable and unique Wilson! - a 7 month old Wolfhound x Boxer boy. Wilson is a big, goofy, placid puppy with a relaxed and easy going nature. He is a pleasure to look after with his playful antics and chilled personality.
Wilson just wants to follow you around like a shadow and loves nothing better than falling asleep on your lap on the lounge. He loves company and is not a dog to leave in your backyard. He is everybody’s friend and gets on well with children and other dogs. He is currently living with a Labrador and they adore each other as they have a similar temperament and energy levels.
Wilson is very well behaved for a puppy. He is very smart and easy to train and just wants to please. He is mostly toilet trained, will sit and wait quietly for his dinner and is not a jumper. He would love to do more training with his forever family.
Wilson loves going out for walks and travelling in the car. He needs regular outings to stimulate his mind and a daily walk to let off some energy. He can be shy and unsure in new circumstances, but learns quickly and will always come when he is called.
Wilson would be ideally suited to a family that will incorporate him into their daily lives and have him in the home. He does need company so would suit an adult that is home more often than not and he would be a great companion for another dog. He will grow in to a medium to large size dog and needs high secure fences to keep him safe.
If you are after a gentle, loving and faithful companion then Wilson is the puppy for you.
For more information or to meet Wilson, please contact his foster mum Lucy on 0434 430 720 or lucyhollard@idl.com.au. Wilson is located in Whitebridge, NSW (Newcastle area) and is available for adoption interstate.
Wilson's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
