About Harris ~ Staffy X
Meet Harris the Tripawd! Harris is a happy, cuddly and slightly clumsy 1 year old Staffy x. He was recently hit by a car and had to have one of his legs amputated. He gets around very well despite this and there are really no restrictions to his lifestyle, except maybe too many stairs (he can do some).
Harris loves to try to bite the water out of the hose and wrestle with his doggy foster sister. They roll around for hours. He loves to chew on a bone, he loves food & he loves affection and love.
As Harris is still learning how to get around, he is a bit clumsy so although he is a very friendly guy, he’s probably suited to a family with children big enough to not get knocked over or no children. Harris isn't suitable for a home with cats.
There is NOTHING that Harris likes to do more than flop onto his back and slide on in for some cuddles. He likes to get his face right up near yours and lay back for a sleep in the evening while you watch TV. Harris is also happy to curl up by himself inside or outside. He really is the sweetest guy and very trusting too. He has an adorable big, goofy smile that will melt your heart. Harris would be best suited for a family where someone is home a lot and has another dog.
Harris attended dog training classes and did very well learning all the basics: sit, down, come, stay and walk on lead. He learns very well using force free training.
For more information or to meet Harris, please contact Donna on 0466 099 426 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Harris is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Harris' adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
