About Flint
Please say hello to Flint.
Flint is looking for a loving home where he will receive loads of affection to help him settle and feel important with his new family.
While he has been in our care Flint has shown to be a very loving and well behaved young man. He will sit on command and happily give you his paw for a shake.
Flint is still a little unsure of all the recent changes he has been through so will need time to feel at home in his new environment. He is building his confidence again and will be looking for a leader to offer him guidance and security. Considering he is unsettled at the moment and will need time to feel safe with his new people, he will be looking for a calm home with no young children as he may get overwhelmed by the busy activity in the household.
Upon testing him with other dogs, Flint has been quite reactive. He has not shown aggression but has been very excited and perhaps overwhelmed by the situation. We do not know if he has ever had the chance to mix with other dogs and be part of a group. We would like to find him a home with no other animals until his new family get to know him. We would strongly recommend obedience or in-home training to help him learn the correct behaviour when he is in the company of other dogs. For now, being an only dog is the best decision for him so ion Flint's best interest, homes with another dog will not be considered.
Considering his size, Flint will be best suited to a home where he will have a good sized backyard to offer him plenty of room to move. Daily walks and outings will be a great way for Flint to receive lots of stimulation and will help him form a bond with his new family. He walks well on lead but may get distracted when he sees something interesting. His leader will need to have the ability to teach him to stay focused. His carer is able to keep his attention and he continues to walk without any fuss.
Flint gets excited when he gets to go for a trip in the car, he sits happily and looks out the window once he has gotten over the initial excitement.
We would like to help this sweet boy find a home where he will not be left for long periods of time as being an only dog and not having his family around will be very confusing for him. If he was to feel bored and lonely there is every chance he would become destructive to create his own entertainment.
Flint will NOT be suitable to a home with cats.
Please contact us if you believe you may have the perfect home for this young and very handsome boy.
Flint is currently in Emerald, VIC
Medical notes
Flint has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. He has also received flea and worm treatment since coming into our care
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
