About Bella ~ Staffy x Cattle dog (on trial 5/8/17)
Meet Bella – Bella is a 5.5 year old Staffy x Cattle dog. Bella is the perfect dog for a person or family looking for a beautiful companion.
Bella loves affection and cuddles BUT also loves to socialising with other dogs, exercising and running around being silly. She really is the best of both worlds. She is an extremely affectionate well behaved little girl. She loves to cuddle or be near you no matter what you are doing, and does not demand your attention, rather she is content just to be with you. She loves going for rides in the car, walks & the beach is definitely a favourite. She loves the water & befriends all the dogs she meets. Her ideal home is one where she can spend a lot of time with people. Or has another dog to play with while owners are at work all day. She wouldn’t cope very well in a house where her owners work really long hours and there isn’t another dog to keep her company. She is a gentle little dog with a lot of love. Her smile and excitement about being with you bring instant happiness. Her only downfall is she really avoids getting her photo taken. ... so her profile pictures don’t do her cuteness justice. Come meet her for yourself and see her beautiful personality shine.
Bella will eat pretty much anything, but she does love having sardines or tuna on her kibble at dinner. Its also really great for her coat and overall health. She is definitely a lover of anything edible and any treat is always received with much excitement and appreciation, however she is slightly overweight and so low fat treats would be best roo tails or raw hide are great treats to keep her entertained for a while without adding to her waistline.
She loves chasing us around the yard or running by our side and is always ridiculously happy wrestling/playing with her foster sisters & doggy friends. She is such a playful social dog that she just loves getting to meet and play with other dogs and her friendly yet submissive nature has meant and can get along with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Its fairly short but quite thick and unbelievable soft and lovely to touch. Her grooming is very easy and she absolutuely loves being brushed. When she sees me get the brush she comes straight over with a smile and sits and waits. I use a furminator approximately once a fortnight on my dogs to remove the deshedding fur and a bath every few weeks. Like most staffy’s she can be prone to sensitive skin but manage this easily with good food and a gentle soap free shampoo.
Bella can Sit, stay, shake, come a nd she Is good off lead
Bella was loved and cherished by her owners but unfortunately they both went into a nursing home as they were no longer able to care for themselves as they used to and were heartbroken to have to surrender her.
Bella is an amazing sweet little dog with so much love and affection. She doesn't demand attention and quite happily let's other dogs take centre stage. She is great with other dogs, people and also fantastic with children. She unfortunately would not be suitable in a household with cats. She GA been the most well mannered and well behaved dog we have ever had the pleasure of fostering

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
