About Doris is a real sweetheart
Doris is a sweet girl who justs wants to please you and play with you. She loves children and is currently in care with an 11 and 5 year old.
She can be quite an active and inquisitive so, so would suit someone who wants a dog to continue obedience training and will exercise her regularly. Even playing fetch in the backyard is enough to keep Doris happy.
As she is a working breed she loves to play and chase toys but is also in her element to just laze around whether you be at work or home.
Doris is toilet trained, crate trained and follows command, particularly on tone. She knows it's rude to barge in the door when you first open it and will wait for you to command her that she can come.
She is cat friendly, but will chase if they run.
Doris does get anxiety whilst on lead and out on walks, so she needs an owner who is confident and that she can trust to be in control of her surroundings. She needs to trust that when out of the house walking, other dogs won't rush up to her and scare her.
If this was to happen.....it will trigger off a fear aggressive response from her and she will bark and growl, and even show her teeth to the approaching dog. So we strongly suggest to avoid these situations at least till a large level of trust is established.
Overall, Doris is a super friendly dog. A home with a large yard to play fetch would be heaven for her. She truely is a beautifully sweet natured girl and it has been a pleasure having Doris stay with us.
Doris is currently located in Wallan
