About Peyton ~ Kelpie X (on trial 18/7/2017)
Introducing Peyton; a beautiful 2 year old Kelpie X.
For a working breed, Peyton is pretty laid back. Some may even say lazy! Peyton enjoys her walks but is quite happy to just lay at your feet and sleep. Like all dogs, Peyton is happiest with her humans, although she is a little shy with men at first. Peyton loves cuddles and pats and is a little bit of a sook. But gee, she’s an awesome time waster and it’s hard to say no to her.
Peyton is a solid dog, so would best suit a family with older children. She is also a pretty boisterous dog, so while she does enjoy the company of other canines, she would need a tolerant buddy. Peyton knows basic commands and as all dogs, would benefit from further training. She is very smart and food responsive so will be easy to train.
Peyton sleeps outside in her kennel at night, but needs inside time with her family as well. She is very happy to lay on her rug in the front of the fire while the rest of the family watches a movie.
Peyton is house-trained, although does have access to go in and out via a doggy door. While Peyton is not a jumper, she will require adequate fencing to keep a smart kelpie like her secure in case she does get bored. Peyton has known love. She has a beautiful nature to go with her good looks.
Peyton deserves the love of a good human and in return, you will get the love and loyalty of a gorgeous dog. If you feel you could provide Peyton with a loving, permanent home, please contact her foster carer Di on 0413 310 791 or email di_keenan@y7mail.com. Peyton is in foster care in Port Stephens and is available for adoption interstate.
Peyton's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
