About Karma ~ Labrador (on trial 24/06/17)
This is Karma, she is a typical friendly, loving and gentle Labrador. Karma is 8 years young, She is a very happy girl, extremely sociable and loves human attention.
Being a lover of food (typical lab) and not enough exercise has made Karma a little overweight. She will need to continue to be on a healthy diet and would benefit with regular gentle exercise and easy walks.
Karma adores the attention of humans and loves a pat or scratch or even just to lie quietly at your feet. She is gentle enough to suit a family of all sizes and ages.
She is good with other dogs and loves the company of her current foster sister. Karma would love to have a canine friend in her new home or a constant companion as she gets lonely when left without company.
Karma loves car rides and travels well, she even enjoys the trip to the vet.
Secure fencing is suggested however Karma is not a digger but has used her weight to push over chicken wire fencing to venture out and visit the neighbour on occasion.
She is still a little playful but doesn’t chew or play with toys. She is mostly an inside dog and is toilet trained if staying inside overnight. She will do basic commands and is gentle when taking treats from your hand as well.
If you think you have the perfect forever home for Karma, please contact Kathryn by either phone 0414 013 044 or email krutiger@gmail.com. Karma is in foster care in Bar Beach (Newcastle NSW) and is available for adoption interstate.
Karma's adoption fee is $300, she is desexed, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
