About Poppi ~ Terrier x (going On Trial 23/9/17)
Little Poppi is a gorgeous Terrier mix approx. 2 years old. She loves to snuggle in your lap or sleep beside you at night.
This sweet little girl is quite timid and is scared by most household noises. Poppi is toilet trained and can use a doggy door although the noise of the door can scare her sometimes She is currently living in a family of 5 with children aged 9-12 (one way to help her noise issue!! ) and has another furry companion.
She spends her days moving from different sleeping arrangements from the lounge to the bed to a crate.
Poppi isn't a needy girl , if you're not there she will curl up on some cushions and wait for you to come home. If you are there, be prepared for her to jump up and snuggle on your lap - she doesn't care where you're sitting (so close the toilet door!!)
Poppi would be best suited to a home environment that is calm without many sudden noises, she does not like altercations between us human folk. She would prefer to stay home than walk at this stage but somebody with patience could help desensitise her to the big wide world.
Please contact Kelly..she will ask that you compete an application form for Poppi and email it to Kellysgroominggarage@hotmail.com.au
For more information or to meet Poppi, please contact her foster carer Kelly via email Kellysgroominggarage@hotmail.com.au. Poppi is in foster care in Blue Haven, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Poppi's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
