About Molly ~ 6mo Border Collie x Cattle girl (adopted)
This bundle of cuteness is Molly, a 6 month old Border Collie x Red Cattledog girl. Molly is a happy, people loving young dog that loves to be active so if you are looking for a fun family dog, look no further.
Molly is well trained, she can sit, stay, come when called - she actually came first in her class at puppy school. Since she is still only young, continued training would be beneficial so Molly can reach her full potential as an adult. She currently sleeps in a laundry and knows not to go to the toilet inside. Molly is very smart and thrives on the challenge of learning new things. Molly, in excitement, can tend to jump a little but with guidance in this area, she should improve.
Molly loves a walk and does not pull on lead but we still recommend a walking harness. Occasionally she may bark at a car or two. She is full of energy so loves a long walk to enjoy the surroundings and be with her owner.
Molly does not jump fences and will only bark if there is someone she doesn’t know in the driveway. She enjoys her toys and is happy to spend time playing with them in the sun.
Molly enjoys the company of other dogs so would love to have a friendly furry friend at home with her but is equally as happy to spend time at home with people. If there isn’t a doggy friend and you are home part of the day then she would be more than content. Molly cannot spend huge amounts of time by herself as she is only young and needs to be included in family life and being allowed inside when someone is at home. Molly has not been exposed to cats or pocket pets so we are unsure how she will be around them.
Molly is a lovely girl and would suit an active family with children over 5 years old, an active couple or retired couple.
For more information or to meet Molly, please contact Sharron by emailing sstudley3@bigpond.com or on 0423 331 057. Molly is located in Belmont North, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Molly's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
