About Boston ~ cute Wolfhound x puppy (on trial 14/8/17)
Boston is an 11 week old, male, brown and white Wolfhound x puppy. Boston loves playing with a ball and spending time in the yard with his foster family. He is extremely inquisitive and loves exploring. He has an outgoing, independent personality and would love a family who could take him for walks and make him a part of their activities.
Boston is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Boston will grow up to be a large dog. He is a fast learner and would love for his new family to take him to puppy preschool so he can learn even more. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
His ideal new family will be able to spend lots of time with him teaching him new things, and understand the needs of a puppy. Boston’s new family could have another dog but his independent nature could also make him a happy only dog as long as his family spent lots of time with him. Despite his independence he still loves to know his family is there to give him cuddles, teach him new things and provide reassurance in new situations.
Boston needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He currently sleeps inside at night with his brother and settles well at bedtime. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Boston's brother Boris is also available for adoption.
As Boston is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Boston, please phone his foster mum Fiona on 0408 295 137 or email fiona.hopping@uon.edu.au. Boston is in Singleton, NSW (west of Newcastle) and meet and greets will need to be in Singleton.
Boston's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
