About Mabel
Sweet little Mabel is an absolute delight.
This happy little lady still has plenty of spring in her step and as much as she loves her cuddles and naps on the couch, she also enjoys her walks and trotting around the backyard.
She is starting to relax and feel safe after all her recent changes and her carer is seeing her personality shine through more and more each day.
Mabel gets in her silly moods and will start pouncing around to get her carer to play with her. As a game, she will stay out of arms reach if she knows her carer is trying to catch her but once she is called she will immediately return. She is quite obedient and is happy to please her carer.
This adorable lady just wants to be loved and make her people happy.
While she has been in our care, Mabel has not met any children. She is quite calm and chilled so we believe she would be ok with children 8 years+ who understand that all dogs need to be given their space.
In return for her loyalty, she will be happy with a good massage or neck scratch and pulls some rather funny faces if you find a spot that feels good.
We are unsure if she has been living with other dogs in the past as she is quite cautious when she is around them. For this reason we would be happy to find her a home where she will be the only animal in the home and her new parents will be home a lot to offer her all the company she deserves. Mabel is still in good health for her age and should still have plenty of years ahead of her to enjoy with her new family
Mabel will be looking for a home where she will be able to spend most of her time indoors. She is toilet trained and will go to the door when she is ready to go to the toilet. She will only be suited to a home where someone will be home throughout the day to offer her lots of company.

Mabel is currently in care in Avonsleigh, VIC
Medical notes
Mabel has recently had a full health check. The vet is happy with her health.
She has had some teeth removed that were causing her discomfort and she seems to be feeling a lot better since this was done.
She is not showing an signs of arthritis at this stage. Her eyes are still clear but she does sometimes find it difficult to see objects after dusk. This does not cause her any distress or discomfort.
Mabel has a small lump on her chest that the vet believes in just a fatty lump and should never cause any problems for her.
Mabel has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. She has also receive flea and worm treatment since coming into our care.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
