About Oscar Two
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder!! Well, Oscar Two could well and truly fit that saying. He is quite a mixture! Some Dachshund (as evidenced with his long body and short legs) and some Jack Russell (as in his wiry coat). BUT he is a very likeable lad just the same. He is still in the puppy stage (he is not yet 2 years old) so he loves attention, enjoys playing with his toys and craves a playmate! He travels well in the car which is an extra bonus for anyone wanting a travelling companion.
Oscar Two will make a wonderful family pet, he just needs to find his perfect match. Ideally, we would like him to go to a home where there is a dog for him to play with, where he has a big backyard to run around and play in, good, secure fencing and gates (preferably colourbond) for security and peace of mind.
Oscar Two's coat will need some grooming (weekly brushing and bathing when required) to keep him looking his best.
He would make a great dog for a family with children over the age of 10, or be just as perfect with a retired couple/single person looking for a loving companion.
Oscar Two would need to be allowed to sleep inside and have access to outside as much as possible. He wants to know that he is part of the family and be included as an integral member of the household.
He is a delightful little dog and MDR is confident he will get plenty of applications to adopt him. If you would like more information about this lovely boy, please phone Nigel on 02 6584 4992. Applications to adopt Oscar Two are now being accepted.
Adoption details
The first step is to phone or email Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. for assessment regarding prospective ownership and pet suitability.
Adoption Application forms must be completed.
A property inspection will be carried out on properties in the Port Macquarie area so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you’ve selected. Proof of home ownership will be required. If renting your home, a letter from the owner’s agent confirming that the pet is allowed will be required.
A 2 week trial period commences on the day of adoption. If, for any reason, the dog is returned to Midcoast Dog Rescue within the trial period, the total adoption fee paid will be refunded.
All Midcoast Dog Rescue animals come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (up to date), vet checked ,wormed, flea and tick treated.
.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
