About Jazz ~ Border Collie x Mastiff (On Trial 24/6/17)
Little Jazz is sugar on a stick! She is the sweetest pup who loves cuddles and is a bit of a sook. She is a 12 week old Border Collie x Mastiff puppy. She is a lot smaller than her big sister and we expect she will be a medium sized dog once fully grown.
Jazz can be a little shy at first, but once she knows she is safe, she loves to tumble and play. She will be a beautiful family dog. Due to a rough start she will need a home with children over 8 who know how to play respectfully with a baby dog. She will need a home with a good size yard and secure fencing and gates. It would be great if she had another dog for leadership and company and she will need to sleep inside at least until the warmer weather arrives.
Puppy school is always recommended to give your pup the best start, teach them manners and to grow a bond with any dog’s new owners. She will need someone to be home for at least parts of the day as she currently needs 4 feeds a day along with the companionship to feel secure in new surroundings.
Jazz’s sister Billee is also available for adoption.
As Jazz is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
Jazz is currently in care in Salamander Bay north of Newcastle. To apply to adopt her or for more information, please contact her foster mum Lauren at hitthesand@hotmail.com.
Jazz's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
