About Indie ~ female Kelpie x puppy (On Trial 25/6/17)
Hi everyone! Meet Indie, the sweetest 12 week old female Kelpie x puppy. Indie is very playful and energetic once she gets to know you and would be a great companion. Indie is a very cuddly girl when she wants to be, loves playing with toys and she can't wait to find her forever home!
Indie will grow up to be a medium size dog. Indie has learned to sit, lie down, speak and can use a doggy door if needed. Toilet training is a work in progress, but with patience I'm sure she'll learn quickly. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Indie. She gets along with most other dogs once she gets to know them, but we are unsure about cats as she hasn’t met any yet. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Indie needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Indie is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Indie, please contact her foster mum Sharni on 0431 100 662 or email sharni.millington@hotmail.com. Indie is in Charlestown, NSW (Newcastle area).
Indie's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
