About “Spot”, Just Chillin’. Melbourne
We admit it, Spot doesn’t actually have spots, but he’s ok with that. In fact, Spot’s ok with just about anything! This chilled-out boy is loving life as a pet so much that nothing really fazes him. The only drama in Spot’s life is when he gets so relaxed that he slides right off the bed – and then he just keeps dozing where he lands on the floor!
Spot enjoys a walk, but tires quickly, so is fine with two easy 20-minute walks a day. He’s good with other dogs – he seems to want to impress them! – and with his laid-back nature, he may be ok with cats (yet to be tested). He’s exceptionally polite around the house, toilet-trained, and usually waits to be asked before getting up on the furniture. As long as he gets plenty of time with his people, he doesn’t mind short periods alone, and never gets grumpy, even when you wake him up. He adores toys and cuddles, and makes funny little munching sounds when he’s especially happy.
Spot’s fur is as soft as his gentle nature, and there’s not a single mean bone in his strong, healthy body. If you’re looking for an expert in taking life easy, Spot will be pleased to show you how!

All our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped.

Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
