About Evie (adopted)
Evie is a pint-sized Kelpie who is as smart as she is adorable.
As you would expect from her breed, she is extremely alert, clever and trainable. Evie is house-trained (can use a dog door), crate-trained and sleeps quietly through the night. She travels well in a car (in a harness or in a crate).
She can sit, drop, shake hands and do a high five. She is currently attending puppy classes.
Evie has food manners - sits and waits for her food. She lives with three other dogs and is very dog friendly, loves people, gets along with cats - and even turtles!
She is calm for a puppy and has an off-switch. She loves playing with (and destroying!) her toys, is playful and loves balls.
As you would expect from her breed mix, she needs intellectual stimulation and enrichment. She would do best in a performance home and would need ongoing training and boundaries.
Please note that Evie is still a puppy so should not do any hard exercise (long walks, jogging, alongside a bicycle, frisbee) until she is at least around 14 months old and she has finished growing. Until then, she should do short walks and gentle exercise only.
