About Mia
Mia is a young bundle of springer spaniel gorgeousness.
Mia has settled in well in her foster home and is already making great progress with her basic training. She already knows sit and come and her toilet training is going well and she’s learning to walk on a leash.
Like all puppies, Mia loves everyone and everything – she adores kids, is curious about cats but doesn’t chase them and she loves other dogs.
As a puppy, Mia’s relatively low energy at the moment but as she gets older she will require regular daily exercise to prevent her from becoming bored.
Mia’s carer is currently working on managing some separation anxiety in Mia. Given their affectionate natures and desire to be part of everything that is going on in their home, springer spaniels do have a tendency towards separation anxiety. Mia’s new family will need to be committed to continuing work on her independence so that she’s comfortable and confident when left alone. A friendly canine pal would be great at helping Mia cope when her people aren’t around.
With her long coat, Mia also requires regular grooming. Brushing a few times a week and as she gets older, some clipping of her coat will help maintain her lovely appearance.
We understand that Mia is a gorgeous puppy, but she is going to grow and her breed does require an experienced handler. She will not be suited to first-time dog owners, someone looking for a low-energy dog or anyone who has not previously worked with a gun-dog breed, working breed or dog with separation anxiety.
Medical notes
Mia is deaf.
Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
