Delilah ~ Labrador x Kelpie (On trial 01/07/2017)

Delilah is an extremely beautiful and clever 7-year-old Labrador X Kelpie who is looking for a caring and loving forever home.

Delilah is a happy and healthy girl and once she gets to know you, is adorably cuddly and affectionate. Delilah is moderately active and enjoys her daily walk. She walks well on lead but can pull a little, as she’s just so excited to go! Delilah is house trained and has basic obedience training, understanding the commands ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘drop’, ‘come’ and ‘shake’.

Delilah is not a barker or a jumper, but as she is a large dog, she is not suitable for a home with young children as she may knock them over. She would be most suited to a single or couple household, or one with older children.

Delilah currently sleeps inside at night but happily stays outside during the day when her foster mum and dad are at work. Delilah loves playing fetch, even bringing the ball back to you for another go! Her favourite thing to do is cuddle up on the couch with her humans and snuggle her head onto you for a sleep.

Delilah can be a little apprehensive when meeting new people-especially men. In saying that, as soon as she begins to trust you (which will take no time) she will be your best friend for the rest of her life. Her new family would ideally be experienced dog owners who are understanding of this and are willing to give her a little time to adjust to them.

Delilah will come when called and won’t bolt out the door if you tell her to stay. Delilah lived with another dog for most of her life, but doesn’t always get along with other canine companions. She would prefer a home without cats or pocket pets.

Delilah is such a loving and gentle soul once you get to know her and would make a very special member of the family. She can’t wait to find a forever home that understands her needs and will love her just as much as she’ll love them!
